MASSAGE THERAPY

It's a Pain Management Treatment, using Neuromuscular Technique, Myofascial Release and Muscle Energy Technique to treat our clients. Highly effective for clients who present with chronic pain, focuses on releasing muscular shortness and tightness, improving musculoskeletal function or joint function. The addition of Energy Healing techniques in the treatment will increase the sense of well-being to our clients. The serenity of our client Mind, Body and Spirit always be our goal.

Calvine helps people dealing with muscle adhesions and knots due to stress and tension, repetitive motion and poor posture. When there is chronic muscle tension or injury, there are usually adhesions (bands of painful, rigid tissue) in muscles, tendons and ligaments. Adhesions can block circulation and cause pain, limited movement and inflammation.

He believes in what Lao Tzu said “When you touch one thing with deep awareness, you touch everything”, so he will listen to your body needs, combine relaxation massage, myofascial release, deep tissue techniques along with manual stretching to break up the adhesions so your muscle, joints and nerves can move freely again.

He may use fingertips, knuckles, hands, elbows, and forearm during massage. You also may be asked to stretch and breathe deeply as he works on certain tense area. It shouldn’t hurt, but it’s likely to be a bit more uncomfortable than a relaxation massage. You should always feel free to speak up if the pressure is too much for you.

It’s important to drink a lot of water after massage session to help flush lactic acid out of the tissues. If you don’t, you might sore the next day.

It’s important to be realistic about what massage can achieve. Undoing chronic knots and tension built up over a lifetime is best achieved with an integrated program that includes exercise, work on your posture and relaxation techniques and a regular program of massage.
